Does Buff lower GPU usage and cause poor FPS when playing Valorant?

·1 min read·byChris Wong

Hi guys. I got given this work laptop from my dad, and its really good except its graphics card is basically just on-board graphics. Valorant does run… but it struggles. Will Buff cause the game to run any worse while they’re both open?

Hey there! It’s great to hear that you’re excited to use the Buff app while playing Valorant on your new laptop. The good news is that Buff is designed to run efficiently in the background with minimal impact on your system resources. Since it primarily tracks your gaming activity and rewards you for playing, it shouldn’t significantly affect the performance of your game.

However, since you’re using a laptop with on-board graphics, it’s always a good idea to ensure that your system is optimized for gaming. Make sure to close any unnecessary applications running in the background while you play to free up resources. If you do experience any performance issues, you can try lowering the graphics settings in Valorant to improve your gameplay experience.

Remember, while you’re gaming, you’re also earning Buff Points just by playing! If you have any more questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out. Happy gaming!
