Does running Buff eat up memory and lead to poor FPS in Valorant?

·1 min read·byChris Wong

I have just 4gb of DDR3 RAM, and they’re not very fast chips either. I hate having FPS drops since I played on a 144hz monitor, so I’d like to know if Buff will make me lose any frames if I have it open while playing Valorant.

Hey there! It’s great to hear that you’re getting into gaming with a 144Hz monitor—what an awesome experience! I totally understand your concern about FPS drops, especially when you’re working with 4GB of DDR3 RAM.

The good news is that Buff is designed to run efficiently in the background with minimal system resource usage. It should not significantly impact your FPS while you’re playing Valorant or any other supported game. Since Buff only tracks your gaming activity to reward you with Buff Points, it operates quietly without interfering with your gaming performance.

If you do experience any issues or notice that performance dips, you might want to check other factors like background processes or graphics settings in Valorant. But rest assured, Buff is here to help you earn rewards just by playing your favorite games, and it won’t be a burden on your system! Happy gaming!
