Every time I play Valorant, and I check my running processes, I see this thing called Riot Vanguard. I did some research and found out that it’s some kind of anticheat software, but I wasn’t cheating when I found it. Please can someone give me a simple explanation of what vanguard actually is.
Hi there! You’re correct that Riot Vanguard is an anti-cheat software developed by Riot Games specifically for Valorant. Its main purpose is to maintain a fair playing environment by detecting and preventing cheating and other malicious activities while you play. It’s a crucial part of ensuring that everyone has a great gaming experience in Valorant.
Vanguard runs in the background on your system, similar to how the Buff app does while you earn rewards while gaming. This is completely normal, and it doesn’t interfere with your gameplay or the Buff application. As long as you’re playing fairly, you have nothing to worry about. Just keep enjoying Valorant and remember that you’re earning Buff Points while you play!
If you have any other questions or need assistance with Buff, feel free to ask. Happy gaming!
