Get Ready for an Epic Summer in League of Legends SEASON 2!

Buckle up because 2025 is shaping up to be a wild ride with the return of the Spirit Blossom theme for Season 2. This summer, we’re diving headfirst into all things Ionia, and it’s time to dust off your favorite champions and get ready for some awesome updates!

What’s Coming Up?

Spirit Blossom is Back! After an intense journey through the dark and gritty lands of Noxus last season, League of Legends is whisking us away to the tranquil and mystical world of Ionia. Spirit Blossom is a beloved theme in the community, and it’s making a grand return to enchant us once more!

Thematic Goodies Galore Just like Season 1, this season is jam-packed with thematic content that will permeate every aspect of the game. Expect some fresh gameplay mechanics, new champions, and stylish skins that’ll have you looking fabulous on the Rift!

Cinematic Magic To kick things off, we’ve got a stunning new cinematic that just dropped, featuring the original track “Here, Tomorrow”, crafted by the talented Lilas Ikuta (aka ikura) from the popular duo YOASOBI. Plus, we’ve got BAFTA-nominated composer Kevin Penkin, who’s known for his work on hits like Made in Abyss and Tower of God. Check out the magic below!

Gameplay Updates

Get ready for some fresh gameplay tweaks that are sure to shake things up:

Bye-Bye Atakhan’s Two Forms!

Say hello to the new Thornbound Atakhan! This bad boy drops Bloody Roses and rewards teams that take him down with unclaimed Roses, transforming Bloody Petals into Spirit Petals for some enhanced effects.

Void Grubs are Outta Here!

These pesky critters are making their exit later in the game, only appearing once per match.

Rift Herald Revamp!

The Rift Herald is now making its entrance at the 15-minute mark, and good news—it’s easier to defeat since Shelly’s Gaze debuff has been removed.

Bounty System Overhaul!

The bounty system is getting a facelift to ensure it activates more consistently for the underdog team.

Champ Select Changes!

In champion select, only junglers will automatically get Smite, while supports will receive the World Atlas item once the match begins.

Visual Makeover for Summoner’s Rift!

Expect a stunning new look to fit the Spirit Blossom theme.

Behavior Improvements!

A major upgrade to the inting and griefing detection system will automatically flag and penalize unsportsmanlike conduct, creating a better gaming environment for everyone. Make sure to check out the dev blog for all the nitty-gritty details!

Summoner’s Rift Update

New Champion Alert!

Keep your eyes peeled for the new champion, Yunara, and an exciting in-client metagame that’s set to roll out later this season!

Introducing Brawl

A Fresh Game Mode: Get hyped for Brawl, a brand-new game mode that’s debuting this season! Set in the whimsical Bandle City, this mode is all about fast-paced, 5v5 action. Forget about towers and traditional objectives; the goal here is to push minions into the enemy base while engaging in epic champion battles.

Brawl Game Mode

Brawl is designed to offer a quicker and more casual experience compared to the classic Summoner’s Rift, making it the perfect choice for those looking for a fun, adrenaline-pumping time in League of Legends!

So there you have it, folks! With all these exciting updates and the beloved Spirit Blossom theme returning, summer 2025 is going to be one for the books. Grab your friends, jump into the action, and let the battles begin!

And don’t forget to track your in-game achievements and earn real rewards with Buff—your ultimate gaming companion. See you on the Rift!
