REPO introduces health and crystal rebalancing, more unstable foes, and a cannon.

Buckle up because we’ve got some juicy updates coming your way for the beloved co-op horror adventure, REPO! The team over at Semiwork has been hard at work, and they’ve just dropped some exciting news that you won’t want to miss.

First things first, let’s address the elephant in the room: the infamous spam-E-as-the-level-loads health glitch. Spoiler alert: it’s not coming back. Sorry to burst your bubble, but it seems that glitch is going the way of the dodo.

In a fantastic new video, designer Pontus spilled the beans on a complete overhaul of the game’s health and regeneration systems. But that’s not all; we’re also getting a sneak peek at a brand new weapon that’s sure to pack a punch!

So, what’s changing? Well, Semiwork is all ears when it comes to player feedback, especially regarding health balancing and crystal distribution. Pontus mentioned that they’re making it easier for your squad to stay alive. How? By introducing a team discount on health kits! Yep, the more buddies you have in your party, the cheaper those kits will be. And let’s not forget the truck; it’s about to be way more generous with health recovery when Semibots hitch a ride back.

Here’s the breakdown: if you’re below Level 5, you’ll snag a sweet 50 HP upon returning to the truck. Once you hit Level 5, that drops to 35 HP, and after Level 10, you’ll be looking at 25 HP. It’s all about keeping those health kits and crystals appealing, and Semiwork is on it!

But wait, there’s more! Enemy rebalancing is also in the works. Some foes, like Robe, are a bit too tough to crack with lighter weapons. The fix? Making enemies more “unsteady” when you’re below Level 5, so they’ll be easier to knock down and stun.

Pontus also hinted that the dev team keeps an eye on popular glitches and mods as signs for potential gameplay tweaks. It’s all about enhancing the experience, folks!

Now, let’s talk firepower! We’re about to welcome the Cart Cannon and the Cart Laser—two new weapons that sound as awesome as they are straightforward. Pontus is confident that these additions will be great assets for your Semibot squad.

So gear up, because these updates are set to make your REPO experience even more thrilling! Stay tuned for more news and get ready to dive back into the action!
