The latest Marvel Rivals patch addresses some pretty glaring bugs, most notably with Invisible Woman and Angela. Invisible Woman’s invisibility could break after certain moves, and Angela was losing weapons or dealing repeated hits in tight spots. Both of those problems are now fixed.
What was wrong and what changed
Invisible Woman would sometimes end up visible after using her Ultimate and following up with Veiled Step. The patch ensures Veiled Step keeps her invisible after the Ultimate, so players who rely on stealth plays can go back to their usual rotations.
Angela had two issues. Her Divine Judgement could leave her without visible weapons afterward. Her Assassin’s Charge could also hit opponents multiple times when used in cramped areas. Both of those bugs have been patched, so Angela should behave as intended in fights.
Other fixes
Developers also cleaned up a couple of smaller but annoying problems. Specific sequences that caused frame rate drops have been fixed, and incorrect costumes showing on the results screen in certain situations have been corrected. Those fixes should make matches feel more consistent overall.
What’s next
This patch is mostly bugfixes and not the broader overhaul players were expecting. v4.5 is still planned and will bring sweeping balance changes that will change the meta. Expect Daredevil to join the roster and get ready for tweaks to characters like Emma Frost and Luna Snow when that update lands.
